Heuristic Cybernetics
methods and apparatus for integrating computer intelligence into non-computers
Traditional computer programming, artificial intelligence and machine logic all require a computer or similar processor, plus software, input-output devices and numerous other peripheral systems to integrate machine intelligence into any type of industrial device. Using heuristic cybernetics, it is possible to integrate very high level machine intelligence into very large machines such as cars, trucks, ships, aircraft, factories, construction machinery, and large industrial processes of all kinds with a minimum of computer hardware and peripherals. Depending on the process the processor can be eliminated entirely.
Heuristic Cybernetics is a mathematical equation, a computer language, a fluidic system, an electrical system, a mechanical drive and a physical structure. The form is dependent on the desired output. By seamlessly integrating form, function and information, you can create devices that are simultaneously functional, adaptive, self-regulating and self-repairing.
The key to the device is an integration of two mathematical systems, Synergetic Geometry and Fractal Geometry. Individually these two systems are analytical tools for manipulating mathematics. However, when combined they generate equations, axioms and theorems that describe physical, thermo and fluid dynamic events in perfect detail, so much so that they are no longer representations of the events but a virtual image. In this manner, the equations can be expressed as formulae, or as physical devices that replicate the function of the formulae. The abstract becomes interchangeable with the physical. The cybernetic logic and the physical device, expressing that logic, therefore, become intimately mingled and co-evolutionary.
The application of these devices, and the method used to produce them will allow the creation of self-designing, self-building, self-repairing and self-replicating, fully autonomous machines. The most obvious application is in swarm robotics.

Definitions:
Heuristic Cybernetics: a method of robotic design where the artificial intelligence inference engine is expressed in parallel through several media, such as digital circuits, analog circuits, hydraulically, mechanically, pneumatically, and integrated into the structure of the robot.
Macrobot: a large robot capable of performing an entire industrial process without any supervision. It produces a finished, usable product by acquiring its own materials and energy.
Virtubot: a form of Macrobot where the process is performed by using an engineered ecosystem inside the robot. The robot provides light, food, water, air and energy to the ecosystem, while the ecosystem can provide stored energy and materials to the Macrobot, in addition to products. Thus both function in symbiosis.
